Charcoal Burner Instructions & Care

1. Prepare your burner

Place a suitable charcoal incense burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and other flammable materials. Prepare the burner according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Light the charcoal

Using metal charcoal tongs, light an incense charcoal disc according to the instructions supplied with the charcoal. Once lit, place it securely inside the burner. Never hold hot charcoal with your fingers.

3. Wait for the best results

Wait approximately 5-10 minutes, until the sparking has stopped and the charcoal develops a light grey-white ash coating. Allowing this protective layer to form helps reduce the intensity of the direct heat, so the frankincense releases its fragrance more gradually rather than scorching too quickly.

4. Add the frankincense

Using suitable tongs or an incense spoon, place a few small pieces of frankincense onto the ash-covered charcoal. Begin with a small amount and add more later if desired. Do not overload the burner.

Care and safety

Use only in a well-ventilated area on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Never leave burning charcoal or resin unattended, including during the 5-10 minute waiting period. Keep the burner, charcoal and frankincense away from children and pets. Never touch or move the burner while it is hot. Keep hair, clothing, curtains and furnishings safely away from the burner. Avoid inhaling the smoke directly and stop using the product if irritation occurs. For fragrance use only. Do not ingest or apply to the skin.

After use

Ensure the charcoal is fully extinguished and completely cold before removing or disposing of the ashes.

Storage

Keep the frankincense tightly sealed in a cool, dry place to help preserve its natural aroma.
